Pandemic Puppies 2020

Adoptions and dog sales soared during the COVID-19 pandemic. Leaving the shelters at an all time low. Before the shutdown many folks didn’t have time for a dog but now many people are working from home or homeschooling their children and so forth. With that being said a lot of people got a dog for a companion for themselves and even their children, teaching them responsibility.

The great thing about working from home or homeschooling is having the time to train your pet. Starting with basic commands like sit, lay down and stay. To fun tricks like spin or rollover. Dogs are amazing animals and love to please their owners. They truly thrive off the mental stimulation that comes with teaching them new things. Two major things that not only owners are seeing but here at Jax Dog Drop we are seeing too. One- dogs being under socialized with new people and dogs. Two-dogs showing signs of separation anxiety.

A great way to keep your dog socialized and help with the separation anxiety is for your dog to go to daycare. Not only scoicalizing with other dogs but with new people too! Letting your pup romp and play all day will keep them physically and mentally stimulated. When your dog goes home at the end of the day, they are tired and ready for some snuggles.

Jax Dog Drop is an all-inclusive daycare and boarding facility and our Issaquah location even has training! Each dog that attends daycare or comes for boarding is up to date on vaccines, temperament tested to make sure it is a right fit for your pup. All dogs get to play in our indoor, outdoor play floors. interacting with the handlers and other dogs all day. We separate the dogs based off size and temperament so that each dog is comfortable. All of our staff is trained to monitor the dogs, making sure they are playing nicely, cleaning up after them and giving them one on one attention. We are following all COVID-19 protocols to keep everyone safe at our facilities.
